As a founding member of the FreakBike Militia - Great Lakes chapter, I'm always looking for people who are willing to help with the needs of the Custom bicycle movement. Whether it's looking for oddball parts, looking for bicycle events, or just a simple question on how to do something, Don and Deb from Petris has been there! Petris supports and promotes all factions of the bicycle hobby better than any other bicycle shop.
We've come to realize that we are not just customers to them. They have become part of our extended family. Every one of our FreakBike members are treated with respect and courtesy no matter what the question or how much we've got in our pockets. Don and Deb come out to many of our events and participate. They also keep us informed of other events that they put on or know about.
As you can see, Petri and Sons is much more than just a bike shop. They are some of the greatest people that the bicycle hobby/industry has to offer. Many of the other bike shops (some of the ones on your list) only look at how we're dressed or how big our wallet is. If we're not there to buy an uber priced bike or accessory, they don't have the time for us! But Petris does!
From the Detroit area to the Saginaw area, I've tried out many of the bike shops to see if they fit our group's needs and only three have ever met the criteria. Petris is our top dog!

I am from Merritt Island florida. Iwas in town for a meeting a couple months ago and brought my Bicycle. I called around to a few bike shops, nobody had a part i needed, and all but Petri & Sons made an effort to find and get it. He had it there the next day and i was able to ride my bike the rest of the week i was there. Thanks guys for making the effort... more than the other shops would do.

The woodhaven store is looking nice with its new paint job. I bought a bike(a Giant Yukon) from them last summer, and it is excellent. Great customer service and speedy service has made me a customer for life.

they are an amazing family number 1 and they have stayed in business even in tough economic times throughout the 30 plus years I have gone there. Great customer service & they stand behind their products. Downriver should be proud to have such an outstanding business in their community Lincoln Park and Woodhaven!
