Since 1978, the American Dance Academy has proudly offered exceptional dance training to children throughout the tri-county area. We offer two locations: Commerce Township and South Lyon. A complete curriculum of courses ranging from tiny tots though pre-professional dance and adult classes is available. Our Academy focuses on the traditional performing arts with specialized faculty to offer individualized attention and dedication to the ideal of quality in arts education.

American Dance Academy focuses on traditional values and discipline while still making it a fun learning experience for young children. They start students in their Performing Arts program (competition dance) at an older age and lets little kids be little kids longer than most studio's.

My daughter, moved from a studio she was at for 10yrs. After dancing and competing at American Dance Academy for a year, she has said how happy she is that her technique has improved tremendously, thanks to the dedication and hard work of the instructors!!

Our granddaughter has been there for at least 8 years. She has gained confidence, poise and creativity in her dancing. Each year we see her perform, only gets better w/each dance. She loves dancing there, and is very dedicated to the school and her art.

The instructors are fantastic. They work with each individual dancer, critiquing their steps and providing positive feedback. They also are very original in their choreography.

They have an emphasis on "old school" dance instruction which focuses on mastering the basics. Children who master the basics with proper instruction fare much better when learning each dance style.

I am a student at American Dance Academy and have been for 10 years now. Ever since I have started dancing there I have grown closer to my teachers and the staff that works there. My best friends all go to ADA too and I love being with them so much! We are considered more of a family then a dance studio!!!

This is a wonderful dance studio. My daughter started their when she was 4 years old and stay with them till her early twenty. I can't say enough about the teachers because they are all great in their fields. She is still in dance and teaching out of state.
