Established in 1936 on the east side of Detroit as a neighborhood tavern at the corner of Conant and Six Mile Road, Buddy's introduced the first Sicilian style square pizza to the metro Detroit area in 1946.
The key to Buddy's has always been our dedicated, hardworking employees. Many of our "old-timers" worked at the original buddy's and today still take pride in keeping those traditions alive in the new locations.
The pizza is always fresh and great tasting. I like the family atmospheremof the Livonia Buddy's - we have celebrated many a family party at Buddy's -they never disappoint!!
The crust is phenomenal! The pizza is also great re-heated (we always buy much more than we can eat so that we have leftovers because it re-heats so well).
Frankly, I have almost never met a pizza I didn't like. But when I want a real treat -- it is always Buddy's. I live a ways, but I even like to go to the orginal Buddy's in Detroit just for ambience and history. Although, the ones in the suburbs can make pizza just as good -- same good pizza and all locations are nice.
Buddy's Pizza is the best and it's where we have a family tradition of meeting for birthdays and other family celebrations or just when we want a great pizza. The only place to get a real Hawaain pizza- extra sweet and sour sauce please!
I have been going to the Detroit 6 mi. Pizzeria several years along with my brothers, sisters, mom and dad. Of all the Pizza places around they are the best in Quality of food, service and friendliness bar none !
