I had been a loyal customer for a few years and was not a chronicly late offender. I showed up the other day for my dogs appointments. I was trying to get them out of the car, only to be greeted in the empty parking lot by a gentleman yelling to me from the door. He said I was almost 10 minutes late and would have to reschedule BOTH of my dogs! I couldn't believe they wouldn't even take one dog. The lot was empty except for my car and his car. (for the record, i was late because i tripped over one of the dogs, fell and had a hard time getting up) He was not very nice and I will not be back. I would understand if I was late every appointment, but I am NEVER late....and if I have been, I'm unaware because they've never said anything to me about it before. I refuse to give money to people who are unkind, that rigid and NOT UNDERSTANDING, no matter how good of a job they do.
I would never take my dog back here again! My dog came home with a bloody eye. I have talked with the surrounding business owners who have informed me on the yelling and barking that comes from the back door. I advise you to not take your dogs here!
The Williamsons are very knowledgeable people with extensive experience with animals and grooming. They raise champion long-haired dachshunds and have judged kennel club competitions so they really know their stuff. Vets, pet shops, and animal shelters have been recommending Meg and Keith to their clients for years, because they know Canterbury Tails will provide the best service. They're great people. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
Oh how I disagree! The owner here is a rude and angry man! I would NEVER let him touch my pets after seeing how he treats his customers. Do your pets a favor and take them somewhere where the workers do not need anger managment classes!
I have been taking my maltese since they opened in Allen Park, and now they have a bigger, really nice and clean facility. If they are reading these, my dog, Billy, comes home always so clean and great smelling, with a great haircut and I love the seasonal bandanas. They also notice things I sometimes miss, like an ear infection and have been very gentle with Billy after his surgeries. Keep up the great work!

I recommend Canterbury Tails in Allen Park for all pet grooming needs. The staff is VERY friendly. I take my dog there for grooming and he just loves going there. His tail wags everytime I pull up.
They do a great job on doing nails. Very reasonable! Quoted me up to 45 to do a Golden Retriever puppy. When I picked her up they only charged me 20 and said she was easy to groom. That shows me they are very fair and honest people.
My poodles have always taken it as a fun day out! They couldn't get there fast enough, getting all excited in the car on the way for there "bath and a hair cut". It was party time again!

I have a portugese water dog that I show almost every other weekend. I've searched near and far for a decent groomer and tried many to no avail. Until, I was refeered to Canterbury Tails by my sister. I couldn't be happier. GOOD LUCK GUYS!!
Painless and humane nail clipping by consummate professionals. My mini wire wienies were in and out without a whimper. Did I mention that they smelled and looked awesome? Meg and Keith are awesome!
