This IS...or was the best steakhouse in the whole
Detroit area. When my husband and I dated, to
impress me, he took me to Carl's. I WAS impressed.
He'd taken me to other steakhouses, but it never
measured up to Carl's Chop House. Our wedding
reception was held there 40 years ago. We went
there for every birthday and anniversary...and
sometimes just because we wanted a great steak.
We were saddened and dismayed when we called
to make a special reservation to find out that our
beloved Carl's had closed last year. No other
steakhouse has come close to the wonderful
steaks we ate at Carl's...and we've tried several.
No success. So I am still voting 4 the best
steakhouse...and it is still Carl's Chop House.
The best steakhouse ever. Start with salad with homemade dressing made fresh at your table. The twice baked potatoes are awsome. Now for the main course- steaks perfectly cooked and seafood to die for. If your out for a night on the town at a hotel, they will also pick you up and drop you off. Have tickets for a event don't worry they will take you there also!!
