The Contemporary Art Institute of Detroit was built from the ground up. It has a long history of supporting the arts in Detroit. It is by far the best gallery space because it shows an array of art from sculpture to music. It is one of the only galleries around that is truly organized for the artist and its community.

The CAID really works for the community bringing art and art education programs at its original location as well as its Southwest Detroit location. A real gem!

CAID is the best because it embraces all aspects of art even the graffiti arts including it's graffiti art show called "Off Da Wall".
