I've been coming here for ice cream since I was a kid and now that I am living in Livonia I still go back to Cooks for the best ice cream on earth!!! Very Rich and creamy! Cow Pie is my new favorite but I miss the Goo Goo Cluster that they make in the 1980's.
Worth the trip!!! They have great ice cream. Lots of flavors ... my favorite is raspberry chocolate torte!! Portions are a lot for the money!! And, you can walk around and see the cows that produced the milk that made the ice cream that you are eating!!! A great experience for all ages.
The huge amounts of fantastic ice cream would be enough to recommend this place to friends, but going to the actual dairy farm and being able to see the cows adds to the fun.
I live not too far and have been getting ice cream and milk (no antibiotics) there for 22 years. the cones are big, the ice cream is rich. those in my family that like buttermilk rave about it. where else can you eat ice cream and talk to the cows!
Cook's Farm Dairy has the best flavored ice cream ever! It is so fresh and tasty. Plus you get more bang for your buck - the portions are very generous.
