I love the DIA. I am so sad, though, that the expensive new addition feels like a commercial building. It was either the wrong choice, or a lack of attention to detail in planning and execution, but I do not want to feel like I am in a shopping mall when I am at the DIA. Our culture has changed, and not for the better, this is obvious.

The DIA is a must see for all visitors and residents, you know that it is special when the NY Times suggests a trip to Detroit to see the museum after the extensive renovation. It is an oasis in the cultural center and I've gone there my entire life for inspiration.= 5 stars Amazing.
