This "house" is nice because it's been old and hip for a long time now. Every once in a while they'll cut a guy/gal some breaks on the outrageous rates*. They might even let you bowl in your socks!!! It's great after you've had a few cocktails at the overpriced bar and you have no cares about money or bowling essences, skill, or customs. Lanes are shabby at best, balls are worth nothing, and the DJ's may not be spinning your record. All in all, go when you feel "cool" with a designated driver and make sure he/she pays for it to boot. We must say.......it's a Detroit tradition(just not for the sport of bowling!) Do the White Stripes still stop by???

OK, the Garden Bowl makes it fun! As part of the Majestic Complex, this hip downtown bowling alley is surrounded by two of the best places to see live bands, a great restaurant and a pizza joint! Psychedelic Baby! Not your father's bowling alley.
