This past weekend (oct09) I was buying three small items from Haig's booth at an antique show in Wash DC. The lady working the Haig's booth gave me a price which I'd agreed to. She even wrote up my ticket. Paul Haig came in and asked her how much she was selling the items to me for ($95). He got mad at her, started fussing at her loudly and unreasonably, and told me he had to renege on the sale, that he needed $250 for the three items. Once the sale was agreed to by his agent we had a contract, and for him not to follow through was unprofessional and unethical. I had not bargained with her. The items were not marked a different price. For $145 difference he lost a sale and any trust I'd ever have in his business.
We have always been impressed with the friendly and helpful staff and the quality of their work when creating custom pieces of jewelry for us. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for something special.

An amazing store! It's like walking into an archaeological adventure if you go through the store's upstairs museum. Everyone at Haig's is knowledgable about jewelry and fun to work with! Even though Haig's is an upscale jewelry store, they've worked hard to make it a calm and beautiful place! They are equally at ease in suggesting small enhancements to my existing jewelry to showing me wonderful gems that i can't possibly afford! But maybe someday...
