In 1972, Paul Huber and Terry Breese brought together their private students from a music studio that was ready to go out of business and rented an 800 square foot store front on Groesbeck so they could continue teaching music. With teaching as their main objective, merchandise in the first year was pretty much limited to a couple of sets of guitar strings, some picks and a few pairs of drumsticks. As time went by, they slowly added a guitar here, a snare drum there, knocked down a couple of walls, added a couple more guitars, a drum set or two, added on again, built up more merchandise, improved on their teaching facilities and over 30 years later, thanks to you, our dedicated customer, Huber and Breese has grown into over 8600 square feet of teaching and display area with guitars, dozens of drum sets, several full keyboard lines and lots of accessories filling every possible musical need and every cubic inch of display space.

The people who work there are GREAT. They offer many types of lessons with knowledgable instructors. Many of the sales people are very good musicians and they are all very helpful . If we are looking for anything that has to do with music we go to Huber & Breese.

These people are so comitted to their industry. They are very much involved in the community or the single customer who may happen to stop by. You could not find a higher standard to be measured by.

they have been around for over 37 years, that's saying a lot right there!!!! The staff is always friendly and willing to help in any way and they are more than fair when it comes to buying, selling and dealing.

Customer service is 2nd to none!! The staff has the knowledge and the people skills!! A family run business where the customers aren't customers, they are family too!! Their store in Richmond (Southern Thumb) is fantastic too!!!!!

I started lessons at Huber and Breese back in the late 70's when they first opened. To this day you will never find a better place to do business with. They helped me all those many years ago aquire my dream instruments and even after being away for several years they all remembered me when I came back. Paul and Terry are two of the best people you will ever meet and they take pride in their retail and music education business. Dont forget to say "Hi" to Randy Smith, he is just as important to the success of Huber and Breese as the many others who have made this the best music store in all of Michigan. Charlies Chocolate Factory for musicians...stocked with phenomenal gear and professional musicians to work with. Not a bunch of snot-nosed teenagers who just learned how to play guitar. HUGE selection, best place to get that "one of a kind" or hone your skills on an instrument by taking private lessons with real pro's.
