my husband and i are big restaurant goers and have been to many four diamond rated establishments, so our expectations were high when we planned to celebrate our anniversary here. HUGE dissapointment. first, our online reservation disappeared. luckily we called the night before and were able to make an alternative reservation. when we arrived, we waited an additional half hour for our table. this would have been an acceptable wait time, expcept we were seated at the worst table in the house, direclty next to the swing door that leads into the storage room. the staff members were constantly in and out of this door, making the beautiful view of the city not the focus of our attention. we kindly asked for another table and were rudely told it would be an additional 45 minute wait. at this point we spoke to the manager and expressed our disappointment so far. it was more of a bother that we were complaining than anything. ok. this was getting a little rediculous. insistent on enjoying our anniversary celebration, we decided to wait. when we finally did arrive to our table, we waited an additional 30 minutes before a server arrived to take our order. there was no explanation of the menu, no list of specials, not even much of a greeting. ok, we forced a smile through our clenched teeth and ordered the 5 course tasting menu. some courses arrived in a timely fashion and some had a roughly 30-40 minute gap in between. and honeslty, the food was nothing to write home about. we finally finished our dining experience over 3 hours later. after reading such rave reviews, i was truly shocked. i dont ever plan to return this restaurant and i hope others think twice before choosing to dine here.

Wow, what a place... awesome food, great atmosphere and one of the best waiters I've ever come across. Got to be the best place for all over fantastic experiences for dining out. Wonderful!

WE love to dine at Iredescence. The food and the service are five star. When I want to take my wife for a special meal we go there.

We were in Detroit this weekend and spent much of our time at Motor City. We enjoyed FANTASTIC meals and service both Saturday and Sunday evenings at Iridescence. It's truly a special place for couples.

Food and service are tops - Iridescence is a wonderful place to dine. Good place to take an out of town company. The gambling is also tops.

You know I have actually never been there, but when I visit motor city and I'm gambling my money away the place looks inviting.
