Kalamata Greek Cafe is an entirely new concept to hit Southeast Michigan, opening in August 2008. Winner of the 2009 Best New Restaurant, Best Greek Restaurant and Best Restaurant Under $15 by Detroit MetroTimes, Kalamata is making a big impression quickly. There is no waitstaff - the modern, Greek cuisine is prepared fresh directly in front of customers using home made recipes, and served in a minute or less. The contemporary, upscale decor was designed by local famed architect, Ron Rea.
