The best place to take my daughter for a fun and intelligent selection of books, with NONE of the Bratz and SpongeBob nonsense she's overwhelmed by at school.

Charming, inviting, great selections. This is the best bookstore for children because of the warm and learning environment and great proprietors.

The staff is friendly and knows books and kids very well indeed. It's also a charming place to bring children to read or make a craft. Terrific fun!

This is an intresting spot to me in it's choice of being off the beaten path making it a gem to the locals that are in the know. Debra walker was the sweetest bookseller I have met. ever! it could be that she is around the young all day, I suspect it rubs off on you after awhile- s grab. Warren

This is where children and books should meet. The perfect place to enjoy the reading experience. Parents and children of all ages can find something to enjoy. The staff is awesome. The atmosphere is magical. The gardens are breathtaking. The assortment of books and toys are unmatched. This is Heaven.

A unique learning experience for children of all ages. From story-telling to "tea parties". Ladels brings out the child in all of us.

This setting and the themed activities, encourage children to read and expand their minds.

It is too bad not many children are taking advantage of this educational experience.

I feel that it's a great environment for children to learn, interact, and bond together. It has a unique feel and is a very fun place to explore.

I love the location, and the staff are so "kid-friendly". I love their theme parties and the children get a kick out of it as well. Wow, I just love these spots in the city where you can relax and know that your children are in such a warm and safe environment.

Ladel's is the best spot in Detroit if you want your child to love reading! The Story Hours, Tea Parties and Bike Parades not to mention to the reading variety all help to make reading fun for children of all ages.
