Ann Arbor's Michigan Theater combines living history with a singular dedication to the finest film and live entertainment available today. We offer two auditoriums: the Historic Theater and the Screening Room; find out more about each below. You can also take one of our illustrated tours. View the theater today after its loving restoration, and learn about its history and about a Michigan treasure: the Barton Theatre Pipe Organ, one of the only theater organs in existence that is still played in its original home on a regular basis.

Shows great movies while also being a beautifully restored historic theater that maintains a high quality theater experience- plus live organ playing on the original Barton organ!!!
Greatest selection of interesting films that I otherwise have to read about in the NYTimes but wouldn't get to see. Gorgeous theater, beautifully renovated - plus the best popcorn in town!
The Michigan not only shows wonderful, artful, and sometimes obscure films that the local community would not otherwise be able to see, it hosts the local symphony and many children's productions, plus local fundraisers. The staff are always enthusiastic and helpful.
