My family has been coming here for over 10 years. In that time, as it got more popular the prices got sky high and you started getting less and less. This weekend we paid $20 for 1 big bag to pick apples, which only allowed 4 people on what they call a hayride. (which is only a tractor pulling a trailer for people to sit on) about 5 minutes out into the orchards. We then had to buy 2 more tickets (we had 6) at $3 a piece just to ride less than 5 minutes. They use to have decorations on the ride that tried to make it spooky, but don't even have that anymore. While we were in the orchards, we encountered a man that called himself the apple police, telling us to stop eating the apples. Also since the price was so high we only bought the one big bag so when we were picking the apples we were putting them in our pockets until we got back to the big bag, the apple police started yelling at me telling me I better have a bag for those apples, then followed me to where the bag was to see if I put all the apples in the bag. He then proceeded to follow us around the whole orchard for at least 2 hours, being just as big a jerk as in the beginning. When we went to check out and pay for our pumpkins he came up whispered into the girl cashier's ears to check our pockets for apples. The girl looked at him like he was nuts. After we were done the man flew up to us mad because the girl didn't say anything to us, saying you have to empty your pockets, started harassing all our group, which included young children. He started shoving my 71 year old father who was holding our big bag of apples so they went flying all over, and then tried to grab my 67 year old mother and reach into her pockets. The little girl cashier had to push Mr. Apple Police away and management had to be called. Now at this point we had already spent $60 and hadn't even gotten cider or donuts yet. We were treated like common criminals over what he thought was 6-10 apples in our pockets, which weren't even there. All our apples were in the $20 bag. When talking to the owner, he promised the man would be fired, and to make up for it gave us 12 donuts and one half gallon of cider. Which was ridiculous. After what that man put us through for the entire day. I would not go back to this place if they paid me. The prices are outrageous, ($2.50 for a big pretzel, $5 extra for the corn maze, etc), the staff was rude (the woman that sold the bags was so rude she almost got slapped by an older lady in front of us. Everything there has gone down hill and fallen apart and they just charge more and more. Everything is an extra $5, corn maze, hay pyrimid, bounce house. All $5 extra. So what did we get for our $70 spent there? 6 people got a 5 minute pull on a tractor, 1 bag of apples (a peck maybe?) 3 small pumpkins, harrassed and attacked by the apple police, 1 glass of cider and 1 donut. I am warning you all, don't go here its a big huge rip off, with rude people. Not worth the price of admission!!!!!!! or the price of physically hurting the elderly! They ruined what could have been a great ,sunny family day!

This place is top notch. My family and I usually go Ann Arbor, but after the last price hike I decided to try a new place. I was very pleased with Millers. The orchards were nice, lots of things to do for everyone. We will be coming back next year and maybe again this year! :-)

Millers Big Red Apple Orchard is fun for the whole family. They have a top notch petting zoo chalk full of different types of animals, and a miniature haunted castle for the youngsters. A large corn maze takes guests on a twisting and turning journey through the farm, and the haunted hayride is spooktacular!

Inside the spacious barn guests can purchase cider and donuts, as well as a wide variety of delicious baked goods and vegetables. The pies are particularly delicious! Whether you're looking for a fun fall family outing during the day or a night of chills and thrills, Millers Big Red Apple Orchard has it all.
