Have you been here? The atmosphere is immediately welcoming, it's bright, sunny and so friendly! The use all kinds of great michigan products i've never even seen before! they're sandwich specials are amazing (they change daily) one thing that someone like me can really appreciate about detroit is a lack of corporate infiltration which can be inconvenient but can also be quite wonderful. you don't get much less corporate than mudgie's. the food is hand crafted beautifully and with so much care and they make small batches of everything so it's always fresh, like REALLY fresh. The servers are all so nice and they really care about your dinning experience. They offer really good suggestions and everybody in the place is always smiling and laughing with you, that says a lot! working in a restaurant can suck, and you can tell the people here are happy and why should'nt they be, it's bright and beautiful, the music is always fun and the food is out of this world! Mudgie's rocks! THANKS GREG MUDGE! THANKS MUDGIE'S!!!! (I only wish they didn't have to compete with corporate strip mall stores) but I guess Mudgie's is an underdog, and so is detroit, and so am i.

Mudgie's uses Michigan products. Everything is fresh and delicious. The Sho' Nuff sandwich is my favorite. Greg, the owner, has done an amazing job with his sandwich shop.

Mudgie's is an absolute gem in Detroit's historic Corktown. Their sandwiches feature fresh and flavorful ingredients blended perfectly together in an impeccable display of culinary artistry. Their desserts are also worth noting, and deserve a trip to Mudgie's by their own accord.

Mudgie's makes the best sandwiches. Everything is always amazing and Greg and his staff are always friendly. The Sho'nuff is the greatest sandwich I've ever eaten (though all the sandwiches are great) and the Madill comes a close second.

So tasty! Great service, atmosphere and music. Walking through the door makes me smile! We've moved away from the D, but make sure to have at least one meal @ Mudgies when we're back in town.

Mudgie's is the best. Period. They have the freshest soups and the owner strives for quality local product to serve to anyone who is looking for a lunch or dinner they won't soon forget. This is a great spot with a refreshing atmosphere and anyone from out of town needs a local to introduce them to this premier sandwich (and more) establishment for a taste of what's really good in the D. GET SOME!!

I fell in love with this place the first time i walked in. It has a lot of charm and the employees and the owner always have smiles on their faces; I think that says a lot. My friends and I ordered this HUGE sandwich to split and OMG was it amazing!! Freshest sauerkraut, corned beef, bread. WOW
