The owner makes you feel like family and everything he prepares is delicious. Great atmosphere. We have never had a bad meal.

I live in the Chicago area, but grew up in the Detroit area. When I visit family we love to go to Nippon Grille. Tot is so friendly and the food is amazing. If he ever has to move, I hope he moves to Chicago!

The food is excellent. His sushi rolls are works of art. The chef/owner is very friendly, and is on a first name basis with his loyal customers. He is also very hospitable, and sets the tone for a wonderful dining experience.

Hi. The sushi here is wonderful and the atmosphere is great. I really recommend the caterpillar roll, the spicey tuna in it is delicious!!

I never liked sushi before I went to Nippon. In fact, I hated fish in general. But with Tots help, I found something I liked. He's really good about giving samples and he makes the atmposphere at Nippon warm and friendly.
The sushi is the best I've ever had. The tuna is out of this world, the spicy california is so tasty. Tot makes his own teriyak sauce and thats one reason I was drawn to eating sushi. I've always hated it before with the soy sauce.
I love that everyone in his family has a place at this restaurant and you can't help fall in love with the food, the family and the sense of belonging you get from eating this amazing food and getting to know everyone that makes Nippon so special.
