We signed our then 7 year old son up last year to learn not just about self-defense, but more about team work, discipline and focus and all of the necessary skills he needs to be in the real world. Within just a few months, we've noticed dramatic changes in my son's attitude at home and in school. Eight months after he joined, I signed up and joined the class. There is a quote that refers to the fact that we only reach greatness by standing on the shoulders of giants, though i no longer train with Larry Jose it is only by standing on his shoulders that i have reached the heavens that life long martial arts training can offer. He is one of the few people that through constant regular training and teaching ability deserves to be called master.
Ihis is the 4th school I have been to and I kdon't need to look any further. Grand Master Jose and Master Jose are continually challenging and bringing fresh ways to learn. Structure and fun, discipline and technigue. They teach it all. Weapons, self defense and crdio classes. Classes just for kids and just for black belts. They give back to the community by going to schools and being available. Too much to write about you HAVE to come to the school and WITNESS it!

TDS and the instructors are nothing short of a positive influence on the students. Grand Master Larry and Master Lisa provide a safe, challenging atmosphere that, while teaching the same concepts and discipline, manages to cater to the needs of each individual student. Grand Master Jose and Master Lisa are great with kids and really help with kids self esteem along with how to protect themselves. I wish they were around when i was a kid but, now not only can my kids lear from them but so can I!!!!

I love this Martial Arts school. My two girls and I attend on a regular basis and we all look forward to the classes. Grand Master Larry Jose and Master Lisa are a wonderful team. They love what they teach and it shows. Some of the reasons why I appreciate this school are: we smile in every class, everyone is important, we work on focusing our abilities, respect is taught and expected, life lessons are presented and discussed, and the skills of their black belts are very impressive – they deserve their rank. This is definitely a fantastic school to learn much from and have a great time along the way.

I truely beilve this is the best martial arts school in all of detroit! Everyone learrns many things that can be applied in daily life. (some examples are respect, discipline, and courage) The learning never stops here, but at the same time, both adults and kids are having fun. How much better can it get?
Masters Larry and Lisa Jose conducts class with good humor and detail to excellence.
