Tucked away in an aging strip mall, The Chocolate Gallery Cafe's unassuming and eclectic appearance may give the impression that it doesn't merit your time. Fortunately, once you overlook the Christmas tree in September and Wagner's "The Ride of the Valkyries" playing in the background, you are in for quite a treat.
The food was fantastic and served by the most pleasant server I've encountered in any restaurant: Peggy.
I live near this eatery and never tried it until noticing it's first place win in this contest. I'm glad that I made the effort.

Awesome! Just ask Clint Eastwood. Out of all the restaurants he could have chosen while filming the movie Gran Torino, he chose The Chocolate Gallery Cafe to nourish his soul and tummy for himself and his cast and crew. They enjoyed every morsel of food served them. If it's good enough for them, then it's absolutly the best for us. Thank you Chuck and Cathy for putting your love into your culinary expertise at The Chocolate Gallery Cafe.

The Chocolate Gallery catered to Clint Eastwood and crew during the filming of Gran Torino in Grosse Pointe Park. That's how I heard about it from film insiders. So I thought I would give it a shot.

Let's see two good reasons the Chocolate gallery is the best breakfast in the Detroit area: Chuck is a fantastic chef, and Cathey is the absolute best hostess for a great morning dining experience. They serve beautiful and delicious meals that delight me.
