They've gone smoke-free which is a HUGE step. My brother is allergic to cigarette smoke and now I can finally take him to Brew and View and to see some of my favorite bands when he's in town.

A small venue with great acoustics. The bands are right on top of you, and many band members will talk with you after the show.

It's THE most intimate setting for a show.The vibe,the feeling when you are standing right in the middle and looking up to the original(almost) Cactus! I have seen many other faves there, too.

the bag is smooth as grandma's gravy! great acts, cool layout, intimate, great service, easy parking, great post-show neighborhood. truly the gem of ferndale.

The Magic Bag has a friendly atmosphere. I went to the "Why Store" concert during the "Woodward Dream Cruise" weekend and had a great time. Two warm up bands rocked the place before the "Why Store" performed. Waitresses were nice, the ticket price was very affordable and best of all...no cigarette smoke!

The Magic Bag rocks for going smoke free this year!!! WAY TO GO!!! This makes their variety of shows and movies they put on all the better. The people that show up for their shows are a great crowd, too. They are a great local venue for me to walk down to, enjoy good service, listen to a wide variety of music in a familiar scene and then stumble home again. Keep up the great work!!!

I have been to the Magic Bag several times to see Dick Dale and it is well worth the 1 1/2 hour drive! I think that it is great!

Because it is the best live venue around. Has a great vibe and I have seen the best bands there for years. We always look to see who will be playing there when we go out at night. 5 stars!
