I am a youth who has grown up in Troy. When I was younger I remember visiting the museum with my classmates. We spend a day role playing what it would be like to learn in a one room school house. We also learned about cabin life and the history of Troy itself. Its so interesting and important to know the roots of your city. My mother took me to the museum when they added more parts. Recently my dad was remarried in the beautiful gazebo in the middle. This museum holds a lot of memories for me and I just love it.

Since I grew up in Troy, it means alot to have a heritage to show our kids. There is true love and caring within the city to continue the up-keep and style of the era.

WHAT AN INCREDIBLE MUSEUM AND HISTORIC VILLAGE! Man, I tell ya, the folks who run that place, all the way up to the "little lady collecting change at the door" - the museum director - do a marvelous job. Currently they have some lovely blooming sunflowers that brilliantly complement the layout of the Green, as well as reflecting the splendid weather we've been having. Lastly, their outdoor concerts may not elicit mosh-pit madness, but they do generate their own buzz quite on their own. I heartily recommend! Kudos.
