Great People, Great comfortable couches and chairs. Never feel rushed to leave. Great fireplace in the wintertime. Couches and chairs face the outside so you can just sit and people watch if you want to. Its a safe place to meet new people. Good prices, wonderful variety.
Coffee tasted like it was two days old. the snacks/sweet treats were stale and the selection was limited. The atmosphere was pleasent. I think that most of the reviews on citivoter.com for uptown coffeehouse are bogus, this place is not as great as the prievous reviews lead you to believe.
I love the personal, friendly atmosphere at Uptown. They are so down to earth and really a part of the Howell community. Always cheerful with a friendly greeting and they know my favorite drink. Keep it up Uptown!
Seems like it's been about three years since Uptown transformed the dumpy old building on the corner from a travel agency to one of the most friendly, comfortable, warming places in Southeast Michigan. The coffee is fantastic, the help is remarkable ! Norma and Nathan have created a fantastic establishment. It's truly one of a kind.
Uptown is like my second living-room, only I can sit there and read a book and not feel the need to "get up and do something" The coffee is great and the barista's are all friendly and helpful.
The people that own the place, and the people that work there know your name, and they know your drink! You can't ask for better service or a better caramel latte skinny with whip!
Whenver I am in Howell, I always make it a point to stop in and enjoy the awesome drinks at Uptown! The owners ROCK and they have a community attitude and atmosohere! Love Them!!!!
You can't get better than the Uptown Coffeehouse! The staff is friendly, and it's an incredibly comfortable and relaxing spot!!!! Ask for a Maui Waui, it rocks!
Oh, and by the way, the owner is awesome!
