I loved everything about our wedding, and the DYC was the perfect location. The price was reasonable, the large ballroom was beautiful, the food was tasty, and the staff was amazingly helpful (just to name a few aspects). They let us visit a million times before our wedding the look at the room and all the parents came along to the food tasting. The setting is also fantastic and we stopped at various locales on Belle Isle for pictures on our way to the reception. If you are looking for a classy and classic venue for a reception, you should investigate the Detroit Yacht Club.

I had a great experience at Maria's. I got married five years ago, so I'm not sure if the store has gone downhill since then based on some of the other comments. Based on my visits, I would certainly recommend this shop. They had the best price for the dress I wanted, alterations were free, and they even dealt well with my niece and nephew bringing in their coloring books while we shopped for bridesmaid and flower girl dresses. My mom got a beautiful and unique dress here as well. Everything was on time and fit wonderfully.

Please go to I Luv Scrapbooking! If you're just starting to make cards or scrapbook, you will feel welcome here and not at all ridiculous because you don't know what a bone folder is or how to use a Crop-o-dile! There are always new and interesting classes and free card swaps and she won't let you procrastinate about getting your Christmas cards made!

This DJ service will change your life...seriously! If you are looking for a non-typical (i.e. good, interesting, fun, out of the ordinary, etc, etc) playlist I beg of you to choose Nigh and Day. They were our music soulmates. Your event guests will thank you...unless they want to hear "Celebration" and "We are family".
