We have been sending our dogs to Maple Veterinary Hospital for over a decade. While we had to put down our 10 year old lab last summer, it was Maple Vet's compassion that helped us get through that difficult time. Our dog had many injuries/illnesses throughout her life including a cancerous bump which she needed surgery to get out and a bum back leg. Each time she got hurt or sick we figured that our dog had reached the end of her life. But Dr. Smith, an absolutely amazing vet, insisted that our black lab would recover-And she did. Dr. Smith named our dog as the "dog with 9 lives." When our dog finally get too sick to recover with cancer in her stomach, Dr. Smith told us now was the right time to put her down. The compassion that Dr. Smith and the Maple vet staff showed us at this hard hard time was amazing. Some of the staff, who clearly were emotionally connected with our dog, were even getting teary eyed when we put her down. They later sent us a sympathy card. When we picked up our dog's ashes, they included a paw print of hers and a picture. We now have a new dog and we never thought of taking her to any other vet.
