In less than sunny economic conditions one of the best things you can do is purchase locally made products and frequent neighborhood businesses. I do my part by visiting Ernie's Market, Ernie makes $3, 4 and $5 sandwiches that blow anything you can get at a fast food joint or chain sandwich shop out of the water. He starts with a nice selection of meat, cheeses and fresh produce then gives you a choice of white, rye or onion roll, then he adds the Love! The final result is a simple, filling and soul satisfying sandwich for far less than anyone else. Add a bag of Better Made chips and a Faygo, that's the way to support your local economy and end up with a full belly for under $7!

The pulled pork and mac n' cheese are to die for, my family is from the south and this takes me back to grandma's cookin!

From amazing chef specials to a great atmosphere, Mitchell's is the best thing to happen to Livonia since they paved Haggerty! Fresh seafood is hard to find, and you can tell the difference when you get it at Mitchells. If you're having a drink at the bar Gary or Dave pour a great cocktail and Mike is one of the best servers there.

Good food, reasonable price, great staff, it's not a replacement for La Shish, but it'll do,

It's a shame that Mene is buried in a shopping center and you could drive right past it on Orchard Lake Road without knowing what you're missing! From a warm family run environment, to the amazing sushi, Mene has it all! Try a Hanukkah Roll!
