Service was spectacular! My food was excellent, I never ran out of water, and service was attentive but not pushy. This is truly a fine restaurant, lets just hope John Lopez (of the sorely missed and now defunct Agave and Twingo's) doesn't get involved here too.

OK, the Garden Bowl makes it fun! As part of the Majestic Complex, this hip downtown bowling alley is surrounded by two of the best places to see live bands, a great restaurant and a pizza joint! Psychedelic Baby! Not your father's bowling alley.

On Sunday nights you get Free Bacon! This has to be the darkest bar in Detroit. Simple, no-nonsense attitude and a good beer selection. A great place for the fiscally responsible!

This place is always busy, so come early. Whether your going to shuttle to the Tigers game or just hanging out downtown, Slows has something for everyone-even vegetarians! Great beer and drink selection, beautiful interior, fun atmosphere.

This store has everything! It's like going to BH Photo in New York but without the NY attitude. They are helpful and stock the things that advanced amateurs and pros need.

John himself is an amazing fellow! His commitment to charity and the safety of his patrons is remarkable. Great beer selection, great food. Private parking. Easy to find. They even have breakfast! Love this place.

Best coney dog, ever! These guys don't mess around-no fancy food, no exotic side dishes, they serve like eight things and all of them are perfect!

Where else can you order a pizza with anything you want and a top-shelf martini? From the art on the walls to great vegetarian offerings to the drink selection, this is the best pizza join around.

Since the reconstruction a couple years ago, this theatre has gone from nice to gorgeous! The old wooden chairs have been replaced with very comfortable seating, and the original architecture is simply splendid. I've seen films and musical performances there, and have been most pleased.

The service and selection is outstanding. The staff, including a young man named Sean, was very helpful in finding excellent bottles that were large on taste yet inexpensive. A great wine shop!

Anyone who has been to Cliff Bells instantly recognizes that this is no typical Jazz club. From the restored 1930's Art Deco interior to a consistently good lineup of performers, Cliff Bells is the best Jazz club in Detroit. The great part about Cliff Bells it that it could be anywhere, sometimes I walk back outside after an evening of entertainment and expect to find myself in Greenwich Village.
