Westview is the oldest family farm in Macomb County, having been in operation since 1813. The orchard is owned and operated by the 6th generation of women. Westview offers U-Pick cherries, apples, and pumpkins. Aside from the usual donuts and cider, the farm market offers a wide variety of fruits, supersweet sweet corn, winter cabbage, and baked goods. Of particular specialty are their 10" deep dish pies. Watch them being baked before your eyes in the bakery along with the 'NEW' Fruit Flips.
Each year, their corn maze features a design submitted by a different person. From an aerial view it creates an amazing picture, such as a pirate ship on the high seas or the Mackinac Bridge. This year we are celebrating our 'Coach of the Ear" Tom Izzo, and the Michigan State Spartans. Straw mountains, wagon rides, and an indoor maze and black holes are also offered. You don't have to travel to the old west to see an impressive farm, just mosey on out to Romeo and pay a visit to Westview.
The cider and doughnuts are great. Lots of fun for the kids. But it's too expensive ($11 on weekends) and the lines are long. They even run out of doughnuts...but when you do finally get them, at least they are warm. If you don't have kids, don't bother to pay the admission fee.
This place is great. My family has gone here for years to apple pick and they always have the nicest people there, and the cider and doughnuts are delicious. I look forward to going back this year!
I have been going there since I was a child. The Roy family are warm & caring. They make sure it is a nice, fun family place. Their products are great. I have never seen a child that wasn't enjoying themselves or heard a parent that said "wish we had gone somewhere else."
I've been enjoying Westview Orchards since I was a little girl. It's a family-friendly environment, run by a wonderful family. They started as a little mom-and-pop type orchard, and through hard work and amazing dedication, they have become the business they are today. A true success story, they pour their heart into everything they do out there!
Amazing Cornmaze, hayrides, pumpkin picking, apple picking, donuts & cinder. A very enjoyable family outing without the crazy rushed impolite people that you'd find roaming at Blakes.
