Management has been very helpful to the Walled Lake Schools, even paying for the bus to transport students for bowling class. Also we have been in two senior groups since 2003 ( 80 -100 each) and the price is very reasonable. Plus free coffee and two banquets each per season December and April. The Building, Parking and Equipment are all well maintained with a friendly staff.

I have been bowling at Wonderland for over 14 years and, not
only is the bowling great, the owners are awesome!!! It's like
a family atmosphere. I have bowled all over the state in the
women's tournaments and I have never found a bowling alley
I like more than Wonderland.

My family has been bowling at Wonderland Lanes for the past 30 years, during which time we spent as much as 5 nights of the week there. We have made wonderful friends during that time. It has always been a clean, family friendly environment. Wonderland has always had a great youth league that my husband and I have been proud to be part of. Our children began bowling there when they were very young, and now their children bowl there. (Our boys all carry over 200 averages)
The owners, Richard and Eileen Hochstein and their family have always been extremely wonderful people who treat the patrons to their establishment with the utmost respect and hospitality. They have also been involved in many ways with the community from the many 'senior' leagues they have to the 'special needs' students from Walled Lake Schools that bowl there.
The Hochstein family is also very good to their employees. Most of my family has worked there at one time or another; having been given a job when times were tough. But, the best testimony to their integrity as employers is that most of their employees have been there for many, many years.
Having said all of this, there is one more incredible reason that Wonderland Lanes deserves to be known as the best bowling establishment.
Four years ago our oldest granddaughter, Olivia, who was seven at the time, was diagnosed with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes. Our family was devestated and life for her has changed forever. Soon after Olivia was diagnosed, Dave Hochstein approached me and said that Wonderland wanted to do something for Olivia by way of a bowling fundraiser. After discussing it our family, we decided that a fundraiser for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation would be great. The bowling event was named the "Olivia Bowl" and has been hosted at Wonderland three times. Dave and the staff at Wonderland were fantastic; they helped acquire many door prizes and worked to fill the lanes with participants. The day of the events went like clockwork with everyone helping in every way. The three "Olivia Bowl" events netted $12,000 because Wonderland was so generous with the donation of lanes and additional cash donations to ensure the total of each event to $4,000.
I cannot begin to tell you what all of this has meant to our family. This is not the only event of this kind that is hosted at Wonderland, there are too many to name. This one is definitely the closest to our heart, not only because it is in honor of our granddaughter, but because it was initiated by Wonderland.
Wonderland is Wonderful!
