Yoga Shelter was the first place I started doing Yoga and I have to say I am so glad that my first experience was with them. They are very inviting and friendly to newcomers, and they help you out with poses/breathing without making you look like a fool. Additionally, the business is very well run and all the facilities I have been to (Royal Oak & Birmingham) are kept in immaculate condition.
The Yoga Shelter is great! You don't have to worry about feeling awkward and out of place if you can't do some of the poses. At the Yoga Shelter everyone is an equal.
Life without the Yoga Shelter is like driving a Jeep with an automatic gear shift, lame and makes the ride dreadfully boring and incomplete.
I wouldn't be any where near this point in my life without the Yoga Shelter. A family bond is an understatement. I couldn't imagine life without the people and everything I have learned at the Yoga Shelter!!
The Yoga Shelter offers a safe place where people can came to not only get a great physical practice but it also offers a sense of community I haven't found anywhere else. The mental growth I have seen in myself and in my friends at the shelter has been significant and life changing.

They have such a welcoming atmosphere and the instructors take you away from the stresses of your everyday life. You feel revived and relaxed after leaving their yoga classes.
The staff are fabulous. This is the only exercise program that I am sorry when the hour is over. Yoga is a great all around program to improve body and mind.
